The Ancient Ruins, also known as the Sandman Temple, is a dungeon hidden in a Mining Cave located in South Western Desert. You will need the Ancient Key to enter.

Just walk North, there is a fake wall.

It is in the Coal Mining cave, which is located to the East of Alexandria. To get there exit through southeast of Alexandria and then go right and up.
Once you are in the cave, head up past a fake wall and through the gate which opens with the Ancient Key.

Points of Interest[]

After defeating Sandman, you can upgrade your class item (to the level 150 version) at the top of his room.

Dungeon Guide[]

Sandman Map (labeled)

  1. After Arriving at the entrance, you'll want to take the bottom left portal (coded Sky blue).
  2. You'll end up in a room with switch 3. This requires the bag of sand to press down. Ignore it for now and take the left portal (coded yellow)
  3. Hit the switch on the left to raise the 1st elevator, then take the bottom right portal (coded red).
  4. Enter the top portal (coded orange) to see a dig spot on your right. Dig up the key here, enter the bottom portal (coded light green), and then enter right portal (coded black) to return to the entrance.
  5. Use the key you dug up to open the gate to the north. Hit the lever to open the gate on your left, and then head through the top left portal (coded dark red).
  6. Hit the switch on the right to raise elevator number 2 and use the portal (coded black) to return to the entrance. If the gate is shut you'll need to go back to the orange room to get another key. Otherwise head up over elavator 1 and then left over elevator 2 to reach a dig spot. Dig away and you'll wind up in the Light purple room.
  7. From here you'll see portals on both your right and left. enter the left portal (coded pink/salmon) and dig up a key from the dig spot. Then enter the top right portal (coded light purple) to return to the previous room and take right portal (coded blue) this time.
  8. You'll wind up in a room with a portal to your right and a gate to your left. ignore the portal and open the gate with your key. Then dig at the dig spot to teleport to the Scorpius miniboss. Defeat him to get the Bag of Sand.
  9. Enter the portal above you (coded yellow), and then the right portal (coded black) to teleport back to the entrance. From here take the bottom left portal (coded Sky blue) to end up at switch 3. Press the switch with the bag of sand.
  10. From here take the left portal (coded yellow) and then the bottom right portal (coded red). Finally take the top portal portal (coded orange) to wind up at gate 3 which is now open.
  11. Go through the gate and dig in the gray dig spot to wind up in a section of the water temple. There are 3 portals here but the only one that matters is the top right. Take that to wind up in front of Gate 4. #ignore the 2 portals in this room, they're pointless. Hit switch 4 with the bag of sand to open the gate and head up top to another dig spot (coded purple). Dig here and you'll find yourself in the boss room. Prepare for a fight.
